Some of the best golf can be experienced on the Llyn Peninsula.

Why not start with the Nefyn and District golf course just a 2 minute drive from Tregar. The course overlooks some of the most dramatic and breathtaking scenery you can imagine.

The club house also serves meals daily in the restauraunt and bar meals are also available. There is ample parking in very close proximity to the club which again boasts unrivalled and spectacular views across the bay.

The course itself is particularly stunning with it's meticulously kept fairways and greens, not to mention the gorse which turn an intense yellow during May and late autumn.

Towards the end of the above track can be found the access road down to the village of Porthdinllaen which nestles on the beach consisting of only a hand-full of houses. After a round of golf why not call into the Ty Coch pub for a drink or bar meal.

The course itself is a championship 26 hole course with a vew of the sea from every tee. With the coast of Ireland just 57 miles to the west from this peninsula, and the backdrop of the Snowdonia mountain range to the east, one can understand why this course is so famous. The 15th fairway is by far the most famous as it was just below on the beach at Portdinllaen in 1907 that the idea of golf in this stunning location was first conceived.
