Members of the local community serve as crew for the lifeboat. A list of all the emergency call-outs that the boat has attended are displayed inside the lifeboat station. Keep a watchful eye out for regular drills where you will be able to see the boat being launched and tear down the slip-way into the sea. A schedule of the pracsise-runs are advertised locally on telegraph poles, the local paper and also on the lifeboat web site.

Perhaps the most beautiful locations of all golf courses in Wales must surley be this one in Morfa Nefyn. With views of the sea from every tee, views towards Snowdonia to the east, and a glimpse of the Irish coast to the West, one can see why the area is becoming so popular.

The village of Portmeirion is truly worth a visit with all the family. Once used in the 1960's film set "The Prisoner", the village is now the heart of a major tourist attraction. The gardens are well worth exploring, aswell as the quaint shops selling gift items such as the famous "Portmeirion" brand of crockery. Explore some of the delighfully painted buildings designed with an Italian flavour, or stroll along the beautiful sandy beach. The village of Portmeirion is just a 30 minute drive from Tregar in Morfa Nefyn, and is not far from the delightful seaside town of Porthmadog.

Of course no holiday to North Wales would be complete without a trip on the Ffestiniog railway. Take a trip up Snowdon. Founded in Blaenau Ffestiniog in 1832, the carriages were once pulled up the mountain by horse and now thankfully replaced by a fleet of unique steal locamotives.
